The impact of domestic violence is wide-reaching and can continue for generations. As well as the grief, fear, shame and suffering experienced by abused women and children, domestic violence touches each one of us, exacting its heavy toll on the entire community by contributing to everything from increased health costs to lost workplace productivity.

Emerge contacted me about 10 years ago to be there ambassador because they were the support network that helped me get into emergency accommodation and then a refuge and counselling and every support I needed when I was 26 and leaving a very violent relationship.
They even helped connect me to support to get government housing and even furniture. They helped store my stuff in storage and became the one stability i had in my life.
Emerge supported me for well over 12 months and I dont believe I would be the strong women I am today if I was not for them'
